According to results released by the HSA construction fatalities have reduced from 11 persons in 2015 to 6 in 2017. This is an improvement from 2008 when 15 persons died on construction sites. While these numbers are decreasing, construction is a high risk industry needing constant review. ASafe Solutions have a team of advisors with a range of skills within the construction industry, we provide full time or part time safety as required for residential, commercial and all other types of construction. ASafe Solutions can provide Safety in a number of formats, as PSDP, PSCS or in the form of a site advisor. We have a large portfolio of existing and past projects and would be happy to discuss any finished projects with new potential clients.
What Can ASafe Solutions do?
Do you have a construction company and need safety assistance rather than full time safety?
At ASafe we provide a service for small & large contractors, some of our smaller contractors sign up to our contractor management system. Once contractors sign up with us we take all the safety files including training, certificates, GA1 certificates, safety documentation and more, once in our hands we input all documents into our safety manager off site and from this point we create training matrixes, update documents for example Safety Statement and Risk Assessments and more. Depending on your requirements ASafe can carry out site audits, arrange training, induct new employees, set up new sites, act as PSDP or PSCS and more. This is a very flexible package and can be adapted to suit any type of contractor.
ASafe Solutions can assist in ensuring your construction company operates as safe as possible and you have the correct documentation to prove it. Construction safety must comply with Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013. At ASafe Solutions our Advisors are trained to a high standard ensuring documentation required for safety in construction is in place and correct.
Similar to any other business your construction company must have a safety statement and a suite of risk assessments, identifying any possible hazards that may pose a risk to the safety, health and welfare of employees, visitors, recreational users or trespassers.
Any activity with particular risk requires a method statement. Under the Safety, Health and Welfare Act 2005, General Duties of Employer state the employer has a duty to provide a safe systems of work that are planned, organised, performed, maintained, and revised as appropriate as to be, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risk to health. ASafe Solutions can analyse your needs for a safe system of work and compile method statements to fulfil these requirements.
Tool Box Talks
ASafe Solutions will carry out on site toolbox talks if required. Toolbox talks are generally carried out after site audits. During our toolbox talk ASafe solutions will speak about on site hazards encountered while carrying out the onsite audit. Topics relating to issues such as legislation, accidents, incidents and fire safety will be highlighted in toolbox talks.
ASafe Solutions will complete a site walk/audit on any type of construction site. The focus of our audit can be on one specific area of need if this is required by management. Generally ASafe Solutions carry out a full site audit identifying hazards as we encounter them, speaking with personnel on site advising a safer method of work and finally finishing up with a documented report and tool box talk if required
